Cynthia Tedy Biography
Cynthia chronicles things lost and found throughout life; shades that fade slowly but never completely. She finds inspirations in conversations and misheard words, writings and misread phrases, fragrances and misplaced memories, sceneries and misconstrued beauty, gestures and misunderstood kindness. Mainly working with layers of diluted ink and dissolved watercolor pencils, her particular process and the recurring eclipsed expressions throughout her body of work is meant to encompass its core: the deliberate moonlighting of one’s desire to be loved as they are; a tentative distance between one’s assumed identity and deepest yearnings.
