“This scene captures the spirit of Hanami, or cherry blossom viewing, at the famous Kintai Bridge in Iwakuni, Japan.” – Nikki

This scene was inspired by a photograph Nikki took of the Kintai Bridge when she lived in Japan. Nikki and her husband Steve used to spend many an afternoon wandering between the beautiful cherry trees that lined the banks of the river when they lived there.

Steve and Nikki Bennett Biography

Steve Bennett is an anime and graphics artist. He has worked on several web comics, including The Angel of St. Thomas and Baba Bhalu. In his early years, he apprenticed with Noburu Furusei (New Dominion Tank Police, Lupin III, etc.) at Studio Aoehyma in Tokyo, and he was also with Studio Ironcat, a manga publishing company, from 1997 to 2004. He attends several conventions each year as an industry guest, when he isn’t busy creating new art and comics.

Nikki Bennett is both a writer and artist. After living in Japan for several years with Steve, she developed an interest in old woodblock paintings, and is now busy working on an Impressionist technique that incorporates elements of the Japanese woodblock style into her paintings and artwork.
