Phresha Meow Biography
Phresha was born with a crayon in her hand. This mischievous colourful tigress that grew up in Toronto, currently resides on the Canadian west coast in beautiful Vancouver BC. Phresha’s artwork explores whimsical themes and features strange, magical creatures that reside in a universe parallel to ours. Her hyper-surrealistic, psychedelia-infused dreamscapes invoke feelings of playful wonder and ethereal beauty.
Phresha’s art has been featured in numerous galleries across Canada and the USA, as well as various print publications such as Curvy (Au), DPi (Taiwan) and Semi Permanent (Au), as well as featured in a documentary Creative Violation – The rebel art of the Street Stencil in 2007. Currently, Phresha is focusing on gallery shows, commission work and sampling all the delicious sushi down the coast.
As a visual artist, Phresha is fascinated by the female form, as the embodiment of Mother Nature and her many manifestations. She is the divine goddess, an ethereal warrior, the seductress and the mistress among her many incarnations. A creature of mysterious beauty and allure, she frolics with whimsical creatures in the realms of Phresha’s imagination.
